For those adults who were Baptized in other traditions, or for those who have never been Baptized, we are pleased to offer the Rite of Christian initiation for Adults as an opportunity for these individuals to be welcomed into the Church.
After a long journey of formation, prayer, and discernment by the individual and the community, the Christian Initiation of Adults is celebrated in the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist, usually at the Easter Vigil each year. RCIA provides the forum for this conversion. Meeting one evening during the week and again on Sunday mornings for approximately nine months, those inquiring into the Catholic faith have the chance to learn the basics of Church teaching, break open the Gospel, and discover the fullness of God’s covenant with us. All those who are interested in inquiring about the faith are welcome into the program at anytime.
For adults (14 years of age and up), please contact Deacon Hyland Fraser at 780-960-0135 or email email@example.com.
If your child has not received Baptism (ages 6-13):
We are pleased to offer the Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC). This program is for children aged 6 and over who have never been baptized. This is a journey on which your child will come to know more about God, the Bible, the Sacraments and the doctrine of the Catholic Church. We hope that your child will not only learn about God and the Church, but will deepen his or her relationship with the Lord and the Church. RCIC is a weekly class that prepares children to receive the Sacraments: Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil each year. Classes are held every Thursday from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the classroom upstairs.
Our first meeting and registration will be on Thursday, September 15th at 6:00 p.m. In order to register your child we need consent from both parents. Please bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate the long form that has parent’s names. Registration is $15 and covers the cost for the workbook.
